Prayer to Holy Spirit

R. And kindle in them the fire of your love.

 V. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created.

R.And you will renew the face of the earth.

Let us pray,

O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit,

did instruct the hearts of your faithful,

Prayer for the Sick and Housebound

All praise and glory are yours, Lord our God. For you have called us to serve you and one another in love. Bless our sick today so that they may bear their illness in union with Jesus’ sufferings and restore them quickly  to health. Bless those who have grown old in your service and give them courage and strength in their faith. Lead us all to eternal glory.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, pray for us.

O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we place all our trust in you. (3 times)

Prayer for Holy Souls

O Jesus, I understand that Your mercy is beyond all imagining. I ask You, therefore, to make my heart so large that there will be room in it for the needs of all the souls living on this whole earthly globe. O Jesus, let my love reach beyond the world to the souls suffering in Purgatory, as I want to exercise mercy toward them by means of prayer. Your mercy is unfathomable and inexhaustible, just as You Yourself are unfathomable. Were I to use the strongest words for expressing this mercy of Yours, they are nothing in comparison with what it is in reality. O Jesus, make my heart sensitive to all the sufferings of my neighbour whether they be of body or of soul. O my Jesus, I know that You act toward us as we act toward our neighbour. My Jesus, make my heart like unto Your merciful Heart. Jesus, help me to go through life doing good to everyone. Amen. (Adapted from Saint Faustina’s Diary, II, 132)

Prayer for Vocations

Lord Jesus Christ, shepherd of souls, raise up new shepherds in your holy Church. Teach them that to serve you is to find happiness, to possess you is to possess all things. Kindle in the hearts of your people the fire of zeal for souls. Make them eager to spread your kingdom upon earth. Grant them courage to follow you, who are the Way, the Truth and the Life; who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer for Priests

O my Jesus, I beg You on behalf of the whole Church: Grant her love and the light of Your Spirit, and give power to the words of priests so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance and return to You, O Lord. Lord, give us holy priests; You Yourself maintain them in holiness. O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of Your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil’s traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. May the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests, for You can do all things

(Taken from para. 1052 Diary of Saint Faustina).

Mother and Queen of the clergy, pray for them.

Prayer for General Intercessions

(We pray here in our own words for all those intentions we wish to bring before the Lord)

Prayer to Saint Michael

Holy Michael the archangel, defend us in the day of battle. Be our safeguard against the  wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray and do thou o prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust down to hell satan and all the evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
